Workwear & PPE
Recycling

A simple, sustainable, zero-to-landfill solution for your end-of-life workwear and PPE.

From hi-vis to helmets, and everything in between, we'll take your unwanted workwear and ppe and, working with industry partners, it will be broken down into materials that can be repurposed and will either be recycled into more garments, used in textiles and insulation, or reduced down to a sustainable source of energy.

Top-To-Toe Solution

From helmets to footwear and everything in between, we’ll recycle any end-of-life workwear (including branded and dirty) or PPE you put into on of our recycling sacks. Our comprehensive service ensures items are responsibly processed, materials are recovered wherever possible, and nothing goes to waste unnecessarily.

New Life, Not End-of-Life

Once your end-of-life workwear & ppe is broken down, the resultant material is processed and turned into insulation, geotextiles, bespoke innovations and more. Instead of becoming waste, materials are repurposed into high-value secondary products that support circular manufacturing, reduce landfill, and lower environmental impact.

Collection & Delivery *

Collection and bag delivery included within 25 miles of any Caley Group location across Central Belt and East Coast of Scotland. Please contact us if you are unsure whether you qualify. For companies outwith these areas, simply buy the empty bags and then return your full sacks to our Glasgow HQ using your own courier.

Three levels of PPE recycling

Tier 1: Textile Reuse

Where possible, garments are repurposed into future textile products. By reusing fibres in new workwear or fabric applications, we extend the life of the original materials and significantly reduce landfill waste.

Tier 2: Material Recycling

When direct reuse isn’t viable, workwear & PPE are mechanically recycled into secondary materials. These can be transformed into practical applications such as geotextiles, insulation, or partitioning — giving the materials a valuable second life.

Tier 3: Energy Recovery

If recycling isn’t possible, materials are processed into polyester feedstock or converted into Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF). This ensures PPE and workwear are diverted from landfill, delivering a fully zero-landfill disposal route.

What do we accept?

We accept all garments, including hi-vis and branded, no matter what condition they're in!

We also select all PPE items. Helmets, eyewear, ear protection... it doesn't matter. Anything you use to protect yourself can be recycled to help extend the lifecycle of the materials used in its construction, keeping them in use for longer.

Protect your brand and the planet with Workwear and PPE Recycling

Have you ever thought about what happens to your branded workwear once it’s no longer usable? Without the right controls, discarded garments can pose both a security risk and an environmental challenge.

Our workwear recycling service helps safeguard your corporate identity while supporting responsible disposal. We design a tailored solution based on your organisation’s size, locations, and the volume and types of garments involved. Where needed, branding can be removed prior to recycling to maximise material recovery and eliminate risk.

Improperly disposed of workwear can end up in the wrong hands and be misused for fraudulent activity. Our secure recycling process prevents branded clothing from being reused inappropriately — protecting your reputation while reducing waste.

With a solution built around your workforce and sites, you can confidently recycle workwear knowing your brand stays protected and your sustainability goals stay on track.
